They need to pay us a lot for what they have done in 1994. Other than Jeffrey Loria (now owner of the Marlins), it is one of the main reason why baseball is dead in Montreal. We had the best baseball team that year and a strike killed our fun. I guess that the chances of having 2 canadians team in the World Series didn't please the MLB management.

The management made (another) fire sale after that year and we never got close again of winning a title. Attendances fell way down...

I don't think that many of us are in shock. The Expos are on artificial life for more than 4 years now and many old fans don't even care for them anymore. If only the Expos could have spotted and signed Eric Gagné on time, the interest would have raised again for the Expos.

We are more in shock of the possibility of not having any hockey at all this year...

>Expos bid farewell to Montreal on a touching night at Olympic Stadium, losing 9-1 Wednesday to the Florida Marlins just hours after baseball announced that the 36-year-old team will be moved next season to Washington, D.C.

>I think you members in Canada must be in shock! This is one thing I dislike about professional sports. We need professional fans. Let the teams pay us for our loyalty! :)
