>>>>We have a Linksys Router plugged into our server and workstations with static IP addresses contecting to Road Runner's service via cable modem attached to the Linksys. Everything is working fine, but every once and a while a user will not be able to get on. The max number of users is not exceeded either. This is sometimes resolved by restarting the PC workstation. Other times, when that does not work, the solution is to go into the IP configurations, remove the IP, put the same IP address back, then it works, or sometimes after that and a restart, and it works. This implies some IP refresh type thing is needed. Can someone explain why this happens? If there is no way to avoid this, is there a way to code a bat file or something that will refresh the IP similar to the manual way I would do it?

Well I know it is related to windows IP because it doesn't die out for everyone all the time, just certain computers sometimes. Don't get me wrong, there is the occasional everyone gets kicked and we have to reset the router, but in this situation it is a one at a time and random thing. Meaning while I am going in the the IP screen and coming out and rebooting the PC, everyone else is running the net fine.
``` Appreciate a normal day, it is always better than a bad one ```
