>There is a company name Hawking that makes network cameras... And they provide and excellent ActiveX component for retrieving data from their cameras. Just specify the IP address of the camera and go, type deal. I had extremely good luck with them.

Network cameras are really neat - have a couple of them at my house (one facing the pool, one facing the front of the house)....but for this project it's going to have to work with all webcams not just network webcams.
