Joel,
Maybe you're doing tableupdate wrong. Be sure you do that at table level, supply alias to be sure you're updating correct table/view, check conflicts and either handle them by one one or tablerevert before requery. ie: You might do a tableupdate(), check aerror() if result is .f., use GetNextModified() for uncomitted records.. etc.
