Just so I'm clear...#1 (from your post) is currently NOT an option when you're trying to update VFP data - correct? (I had thought that #2 was the only solution when using VFP as a back-end).

(And after I posted this, I saw Gerard's follow-up message, so maybe my assumption was wrong)
