Hi Issam,
if your application is desktop or cleint-server this is the worst idea which could come in head of your management. According database C# application work 3-10 times slowly. Only reason to conver an application in .Net is if it will be web-based. In this is the case .Net is unbeatable.
Yes C# can work with DBFs. There are a lot of problems with providers and dataaccess, but we made two apps for clients which require that kind of conversions. Part of their modules are in .Net, part in VFP.
Shall you use the same names of variables in your .Net application is your own decision. Both apps works saparately.
