Until then, you can do textmerge into a file, give it a .prg name, and compile it (provided you're at least vfp6 sp3 or sp4, don't remember exactly which one was it) on-the-fly and run it.

As to Esparta's version of the same suggestion, I'm not sure the memvar clause was supported back then. AFAIR, it appeared in VFP7.
