I have excel 2003 on my laptop (which installs Object Library 11.0), and the following code works fine for me...

      Dim oExcel As New Excel.Application
      Dim oWorkBook As New Excel.Workbook
      oWorkBook = oExcel.Workbooks

I'm able to see all the available properties, methods, etc.
