I figured it out by trial and error. All other menu choices work fine. Your idea to try other computers is so obvious, I should have thought of it. This is the first time my development computer has acted funky.

The same code works fine on my development computer under VFP7. The application (VFP6 EXE) works fine on other computers. It is only a problem on my development computer under VFP6. I re-installed VFP6 with the service pack 5, and the problem is still there.

I am relieved to know the problem is so isolated and relatively minor, but I would still like to fix my development computer. I do not want to distribute my application under VFP7 because the EXE is 3 times as large as VFP6's. It is downloadable from the web so size matters. Any ideas?
