Re dotNET interop: presumably this is an important issue for VFP developers. It allows quick leverage of existing excellent VFP work without an entire dotNET rewrite immediately, much as that might sound attractive to dotNET contractors out there.

Though I have been "slammed" for saying this before, I'll say it again: even MS is retaining apps like Word and Excel in their current format rather than rewriting in dotNET. Instead, MS publishes techniques to interface between the two and/or provides utilities like the Excel crosstab wizard.

In this case it all seems politicized and tense. Why? Who does it hurt to put examples in the documents, or utilities/wizards to create/consume web services?
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
