In addition to what others have said - and without knowing your exact need - you might want to take a look at QuitApp in the download section. You can incorporate it into your VFP app and know the status of anyone running the application. You can even kick them out if needed. I have modified Greg's version for our use and could make most of it available to you if he gives permission to do so. I say "most" because we have some proprietary base classes I can't release, but you could easily work around them.
