About evil, remember the notion of Schopenhauer about evil being positive rather than negative, as the world is basically and inherantly evil.

For him happiness was experienced only during momentary respites between periods of unhappiness -and, in fact, happiness consisted of this brief absence of pain, this temporary interval separating one evil experience from the next. (what happens to you in those homeostatic coach-potatoe sessions with you TV set). ;-)
