Unfortunately we were not left the choice of using a less limited back-end database. As for the Foxpro->Foxpro OleDb provider, at least I didn't encounter the decimal problem with it.
We are anxiously waiting for VFP 9, which is supposed to address the issues about stored procedures returning a result set, and about retrieving the value of an auto-incremented field.
