A fully integrated solution would be designed to work inside of our application and use our data, so that it looks like part of our app to the user. We would probably be satisified with exchanging data with an external app. Essentially, we have a database of people, but we don't have the relationships or the diagrams. When the time comes (and it may be a while), we'll probably looks towards a third party to provide that functionality.

http://www.communityexpress.info/index.htmlOk, no worries.
I can see what you do and you may want to take a look at CE's media handling. I recently did headstone surveys of 17-odd cemeteries with a digital camera, dropping the images onto people located in a 16,000 person database I care for. CE handles images at low, medium and full res so users can retrieve the 4 megapixel originals. (Also handles any other media like PDFs etc.)
CE handles GEDCOM, but also other formats like Access and XML (to some extent now, may be broadened in future).
