Just need to modify the validation expression a little. Basically, check if the object oValid exist, if it dosnt retun .f. (dont let the user edit from the browse). It would look something like this, IIF(TYPE('ovalid')#"O",.f.,iif(ovalid.lcheck,FUNCTION(),.F.)).
