I have a need to have a combobox where the row source values contains the most used values, but I need the user to be able to key a value that is not in the row source values. I don't want to add the new values to the row source, just use it for this instance.

To test I set up a combo box with rowsourcetype = values and put Apples, Oranges,Peaches in the rowsource. If I then key Apples in the combo box or select Apples in the dropdown I get Apples in the object value. If I key an Lemons, then the object value is blanke. How can I get it to have the value of Lemons.
