I don't have a specific answer, as I've never displayed the contents of a memo in a grid column

Something to think about - when I've displayed a result set that included memo data, I always set up a separate edit box for the memo, and displayed the memo data for the current row in the grid.

Most of the memos I've dealt with are several paragraphs, so it didn't make much sense to try to display them in a grid, because you'd either never be able to show all the data...or if you somehow did, you'd only be able to show a few rows at a time.

Just my two cents...
