I inserted your code like so:

lc=FILETOSTR(lcAttachment)
MESSAGEBOX(OCCURS("TYPE/PAGE",UPPER(lc)) - OCCURS("TYPE/PAGES",UPPER(lc)))

And it would return 0 every time. What could I be doing wrong? TIA!
