I'm trying to make a program that I've written work similar to a "service." The program is written entirely in code in a PRG file, i.e, when it runs there is no screen, no forms nor windows showing so I want to give the user access to the program via an icon in the Systray. The program sets in memory and uses a Timer class to watch for a FTP.EXE process to start.

Using your code examples, I too was able to create a new project and get the icon to work within an EXE so there must me something in my code that's causing the problem. I'll move the code one section at a time to the project that's working so I can isolate what's causing the problem.
