I have some table-intensive processes that open, search and update in multiple tables, some of them large.
When testing, I have noticed that VFP will execute the same exact process much faster the second time I run it, most likely due to having cached the CDX on the 1st go-round.
With that in mind, is there a way to deliberately invoke such behavior? I would more than gladly suffer short term performance hits at the beginning of the process, if the rest of it would benefit.
Any thoughts?
