I wonder if you can emulate the Word 'Print' function that runs if you RMB on a word doc in explorer. It loads word, then the doc, prints it and exits word. I don't have word installed on this PC, but I wonder if you can run the WINWORD EXE with some params e.g. word doc file name, print. This would only print to the system default printer but might be worth 5 mins investigation. Another choice would be to leave word running untill you exit your app.
