Add a line files=xx (xx is number of file handel You want to have) in Config.nt. This file is located in SYSTEM32 folder of the main Windows folder (WINDOWS or WINNT).
In the days of the Clipper in BAT file that I use to start my applications I have a line SET CLIPPER=F90 (but I don't know what is the equvalent of that line in FP 2.5)
