I'm not near the problem machine right now but from memory I had to add a new data source within Word because it didn't show up on the list of data sources.

Must say I was not impressed by 2003 Mailmerge - thought it looked over complicated and messy - certainly not very intuitive - discussed it with my client and we're thinking of uninstalling it and reinstalling Word 2000

I think the more Microsoft developes Office the more difficult it becomes for the average user to find his way around - fine for people who need all the bells and whistles - we just want to write a few personalised letters
