You shouldn't need the logical field in the source table if it's only used on this grid, but that's another issue.

Have you checked for any WHEN code in the checkbox or SETFOCUS code in the checkbox and column? Even the checkbox CLICK could be doing something. Try setting a breakpoint in the Click. If that doesn't fire, try the other methods I've mentioned to see what's firing.
