I have my original Install file for Prog 3.0.0 (Developed in Fox 8.0)

A minor change to the code was made to allow a blank value to be written to a field in a table. (It was one of those situations where the odds of a user finding this bug is remote, but you know it's there so you fix it anyway).

Instead of creating a brand new Install for prog 3.0.1, I just copied the new exe to the existing deployment folder. Now, the CREATE CD program errors out every time we try to create a new Install CD. (The CREATE CD program works because we tested it on a different folder).

My plans are to create new Install file (INSTALL 3.0.1) for my New program Prog 3.0.1.

My Question:

How does copying a different .exe to the Deployment folder cause the CD Creator to error out?

What is the proper procedure in creating an updated Install file for program fixes, such as the one I described?

Thanks for any input.
