We currently use VFP 6 and are in the process of moving to VFP 8. We don't use a lot of the new VFP features because we have a huge app and the upgrade path has left a lot of code still in the FoxPro 2.6 style.

This was me a few short years ago. My advice is a couple of good books, a simple project with a deadline, and have them rewrite the comments to the current production app, unless they are already well written, in which case, find something poorly documented and have them do the documentation.
