>So, it is your opinion and not what the "market has decided", correct?
>
>I'm not trying to give you a hard time here. I'm just tired of people on the UT crafting there opinions as a statement of fact.

By the way it should've been "their opinions" and not "there opinions"

I'm not trying to give you a hart time here. <bg>

What facts do you want. Numbers? I'll contact MS to see if they'd want to give them to me. Perhaps my good friend Ken L. will read my reply (I'm sure he reads them all) and make it easier for me to have access to all the numbers needed to give you a rock-solid answer.

So you don't agree that when MS puts a lot of efforts into the marketing of a product it leads to a huge following by the actors in the IT world? Such as is the case for .Net

>>I've been long enough in the IT industry to know that when MS decides on a new strategy the following will be HUGE.
>
>Like XBox...

And Microsoft Bob. Sure they can't succeed every time. But I guess they succeeded more than they failed. Again here no facts to give you but any company that has many billions accumulated in cash must be doing something good some of the times. Or they have a terrific marketing dept.

>>Armies of Java developers. So what. I'm sure there will be more .Net developers not too long from now. If it's not already the case.
>
>Maybe. It hasn't happened yet

It will. Sorry again no numbers to give you.

>>Not bad considering how long JAVA has been here compared to .Net
>
>What is not bad? If you canvass the universities and see what programming language kids are learning, I guarantee you it is mostly Java.

You have numbers <g> to support that?

>Don't get me wrong. I am not pushing Java here. I'm just saying that there is a BIG world outside of the Microsoft box that is also available to Fox developers.

I understand your point. By the way which direction will you take?
