You can certainly browse any view of SQL Server data you choose.
Using straight ODBC, try this. Set up an ODBC conection to SQL Server, open the connection, then browse tables in the PUBS sample database. No sweat <s>.
In practice, however, this can be very slow on big data so you'll probably end up using SQL Pass Through to create views that you can certainly browse.
