In free tables you can only use 10 characters in a table name. If the table is in a database you have long name support. If you are importing from a table that has the first 10 characters alike in sevseral fields, then as a free table FoxPro will substring the first 10 chacters from the left and raise an error when another field substringed produces the same 10 characters.
