Nope... I am talking about VS 2003. VS 2005 is a actually slow right now. But it is an early beta of course.

So for the world here to see just how slow the .NET winforms package really is I will provide links to 2 open source .NET apps that work the Winforms package pretty heavily.

http://www.eecs.wsu.edu/paint.net/downloads.html

and

http://www.rssbandit.org/ow.asp?DownLoad

So rather than ask for my opinion (which I know you didn't) or kevin goff's go try for yourself.

I would really like to see your opinion of just how slow .NET winforms really is.

Well the original responder talked about .NET in his post. I do believe that the title is DOT HISTORY, right?

So as I see it... this thread is open game so your rules about stating the obvious are out in this thread.

John, from your posts you seem to be pretty darn knowledgable about .NET and you must know that a lot of what is posted is not correct. I know you are more than happy to point out incorrect statements some of us have made (the RV one on west-wind.com if you need a reminder). So why don't you point out where some other members here are incorrect about .NET ?

Thanks as always,
Rodman
