Hello Jim,

It seems like the good news are not going to stop soon.

Perhaps we can hope that workers from India are just waiting until they really control the situation and then they force those companies to double their salaries. This could be an interesting thing to watch.

All of those Scrooges panicking to the simple thought that things were not so bad after all when they paid people what they deserved. But it could be too late to go back because all the persons that lost their jobs in North America would'nt be familiar with the newest technologies. Who cares about the latest technology when you work at MacDonald's flipping burgers.

>I dunno about cheap lawyers in India, and before I get to my real message let me tell you something that I was told by an EU lawyer when I was on a vacation in D.R.... he told me that there are more lawyers in Washington D.C. than in all of Europe.
>
>India does have cheap readers of radiological print/scans/whatever they're called (the highest paid position in North American hospitals, I understand) so many hospitals have started sending images to India to be 'read' (diagnosed).
>For a bunch of reasons that doesn't sit well with me.

>>Interesting article. I noticed in the end someone mentioning that he changed career to become a lawyer. Does this mean they don't have cheap lawyers in India? <g>
>>
>>I don't really think that there is a place that could be considered really secure and not subject to an eventual outsourcing. If there's money to save offshore then a job is in danger.
>>
>>It's as simple as that. I heard of lawyers over here that could'nt find a job and had to sell shoes to earn a living.
>>
>>Right now perhaps we give more attention to IT jobs going elsewhere. Hmmm I wonder if it's because it's our field <vbg>
