Sounds like you have it under control now, but just to clarify, I meant to physically exchange keyboards with another one, just as a trial.
I once had funny things happen, keying-wise, right after I had updated Office to it's latest SP at the time. I was quite sure that the update had caused problems but when all else failed i replaced the keyboard and solved the problem. Just unluck timing!
