>You know the old Jackie Gleason joke where he tells Norton, in a practise golf swing, to "ADDRESS THE BALL, NORTON!!!" and Norton bends over to the ball and says "Hellooo ball". This was intended in a similar vein.

Ahhhh... Got it. I always thought that was from a movie like Caddyshack or something. Never realized it was a Gleason/Norton thing.

>By all means, go right ahead Jay. Sure seems otherwise odd that a "staunch Republican" would be so very concerned about political corectness. At least to me.

Don't get the correlation between "staunch Republican" and "political correctness." It's not about correctness, per se, but rather what I feel is an attack. If it were religion that was the issue I can guarantee that it would be addressed. There are many times recently I would like to start a kerry/edwards slam, but haven't as I thought it was taboo. And I thought that my UT karma was pretty much used up and didn't want to chance it.
