>I am not trying to 'adjust' anything. I am just commenting on how I perceive your "hurt" as you display it in this thread.

I displayed no hurt in this thread. It is YOU who perceived something that wasn't there. And by ventilating that, others here might start to think the same thing. I don't want that and it forced me to state clearly that I was not hurt at all. But your reaction (here above) shows me that you continue to perceive me as being hurt. Jim, can't you read? If I write that I was not hurt, then simply respect that and don't continue to ventilate that I was hurt.

>As for "no political attacks", I'd say that you are taking the words too literally. I have assumed these words to mean 'among members' and certainly not about world leaders. Man, if someone is not free to call some political figure an embecile then we have very serious problems here!!!

No, you are interpreting the words too freely. Where does it say that it is only a violation if it's directed towards a member? Nowhere.
I think we have a serious problem here if political figures can here freely be called whatever one wants!!!

>Well if you ar not "hurt" then what the hell are you making all this fuss about???? Did you always want to be a policeman and take the chance here to do it???
>If you are not "hurt" then I can only conclude that you are being CHILDISH... Momma, Houston broke the rule about political attacks! Spank him, Momma, spank him hard!!! Or I could guess that you wish simply to add to the 'file' of Mr. Brennan at UT Management HQ (though for what purpose I cannot guess).

Policeman? Childish? In capitals even? Now you are almost crossing my boundary of what I can handle without feeling personally attacked. And your 'momma' words are low, very low. As a matter of fact, they DO cross my boundary. I'll remember this for long.

I know of no file about Houston. That's not the issue, so do not accuse me of this. The issue is that if Houston is allowed to use such words, then everybody else is allowed to use such words too. Houston is not special, as to my knowledge. It appears that you don't mind members using words as he did, but others do mind. I am not making propaganda for a vanilla flavored place, but I am opposing the Wild West scenario (although the wildwest was romantic in some ways).

>loosen up, Peter. We don't need no stinkin policemen around here.

YOU should loosen up. Jim. Don't use words like 'stinkin policemen', implicitly suggesting that I am one of them. Again, it comes in as a personal attack. Don't do that. It rapidly ruins our friendship.

If there’s no willingness to moderate for the sake of good debate, then I have no willingness to debate at all.
Let's develop superb standards that will end the holy wars.
