The only language I really know is VFP so I can't compare. I think my comment probably applies generally to all programmers.

I find my customers (who are not programmers at all) will not tolerate any screen or feature that is not exactly right for them and they are not shy about complaining about it. These same people would apply the same standards to a car, appliance or piece of furniture. i.e. if there was a problem with anything they would complain about it.

I own a 2000 Dodge Caravan. Chrysler just discovered a problem with the driver's side air bag and are providing a free fix for it. If they were using Microsoft principles, they would not fix the current version and might not even fix the next version. But when they finally fixed it they would charge me for it. Programmers would be angry if the automobile companies treated them this way but they don't mind with Microsoft.

I used to put stuff into the Wish List but I don't any more because I am convinced that noone reads it.

Anyway that my 2 cents worth,

Mike Smith
