I support several machines on a network which have just been upgraded from NT to XP. The newer machines are significantly faster, but are performing significantly more slowly.

For example: One process which takes 71 seconds on an NT machine still attached to the network takes 159 seconds on one of the XP workstations. I haven't (yet) been able to track down exactly which lines of code are executing so slowly, but any general pointers would be gratefully accepted.
