Kevin,
A table is easy to implement, but .ini file or registry are "standard" ways to pass more than a few parameters to a Windows app. The ini file is possibly the most visible and cheapest way to proceed as it can be simply copied and edited in Notepad to create one of the new locations you describe. Check out the Foundation Classes/Utilities section in the Component gallery for classes that allow you to read and write settings.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
