I was amazed, last night, to learn that the whole thing is a "franchise"... developed in Britain and then sold around the world.

I also learned last night (don't know if true) that Princess Diana was in the lead but that 'steps were taken' to help her to not be the top vote-getter.

Amazing that some would care so much when it is only a TV show!
