Hello Gerard,

Look for Maximum Capacity Specifications in Books Online...
It says that the limit is 1024 fields for a total of 8060 bytes per row...

I think 400 fields is a lot for a table... maybe you should review your data
model design. I can't imagine the INSERT/UPDATE stored procedures for this table :)
