69, wow, that was the good ol day.
As a matter of fact tehy say this year tourism was on the level of the early 70's.
Now, that the French put their weight behind the US by passing UN 1559 I hope some good will come out of it and the Syrian govt will act like like civilized nation that I unfortunatley doubt. They only understand the stick part.
On the other hand, there will be no peace in the region until the Palestinian issue is solved.
