I think the 1 gig ram carries a clue. Not many PCs on the Dell website come with 1 gig RAM. You have a cool developer machine.
re PIII: I think few PIII will have 512meg RAM. 256mb is a safer expectation. Most VB and VFP data apps run beautifully on such computers.
