Terry,

Criticizing policies of Israel and/or their actions is not anti-semitic at all.

But after reading your article in Al-Jazeerah

http://www.aljazeerah.info/Opinion%20editorials/2004%20opinions/September/26o/Michael,%20Michael%20We%20love%20you,%20but%20By%20Terry%20Thurber.htm

am I the only one reading so much hate toward Israel and anybody in the US who supports Israel?

And people who are not anti-semitic don’t use terms such as:

"moneychangers" (the anti-semitic term historically used to incite pogroms).
So is calling Jews "porky Zion henchman".
People who constructively criticize Israel don’t say "AIPAC Getstapo".
And what about the phrase "AIPAC would gladly surrender America for Israel?"

I want to address your libelous statement that Russian is spoken in settlements. This is a lie. I have two cousins who live in Israel with all their families, and dozens of friends with whom I communicate all the time. I don’t know of any one of them or their friends or their relative who lives in the settlements. Yes, there are thousands and thousands of Russian immigrants to Israel. Just like there are probably a million Russian Jews living in Boston, New York, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francesco, and other USA cities. We all came here legally, just like the ones who went to Israel. And let me tell you something, even though half of my fellow Russian Jews eat pork on Saturdays and never go to synagogue, we all support Israel very strongly. Does it make us not loyal to the USA? According to your article it does. And by the way, from talking to many Russian Jews and American Jews, all of them believe that Palestinians have the right to have an independent state and live in peace in prosperity next to the state of Israel.

The best definition of racial or ethnic bias, IMHO, is "attributing faults of a few individuals to the entire race or ethnic group." This is exactly what you are trying to do by using names of Wolfowitz and Crystal in your posts here. What you are trying to say is these two form the US policy, and they are the ones to blame for the war in Iraq.

The link to the article you posted is a lie and piece of anti-semitic propaganda, cleverly disguised as a scientific report. The author craftily insinuates on connection between American scientists, Paul Wolfowitz and William Crystal (both Jews), and Israeli scientists to conspire to create biological weapons against Arabs. You believed this garbage because you want to believe this garbage. Just like you believe that the author of the article is a Jew. And he is not. Ask anybody on this forum who is from Russia if Vasili Sychev is not a very typical Russian Christian name.

If I posted here a link to an article that would seem offensive to any ethnic or racial group (simply because I didn't realize that this is offensive to them), I would apologize and that would be the end of it. But you choose to use this as an opportunity to attach everything that is connected to Israel.
