I dont know where you get your info, but 3 separate bipartisan committees
all came out & said there were no WMD's. Then the Chief UN inspector also
came out & said the very same thing, and added that 12 years of sanctions
had kept Iraq from rebuilding.

And, lets say for arguments sake that these fictional weapson did exist,
what proof do we have that he was threatening the US with them? None.
Many countries, including some bad ones, have WMD's. We havent attacked them.

You call us liberals? I call it conservatism. I don't beleive we should attack
anyone without 100@% rock solid proof that the weps exists, AND the country
has them aimed at us.

Neither of these 2 points was proven, but we attacked anyhow.

Of course, remember, Bush himseld said it - "They tried to kill my daddy".

>I guess you aren't even going to read the highlights of the Duelfer report, are you? There were wmds, there are wmds, some where (probably) shipped out of country and they will find more as they go along. The report says they only visited a fraction of a fraction of the sites. Yes to your second statement. Sadam's oil for food program was designed to coopt the countries of Russia, France and Belarus with his long term goal or reacquiring more wmds and even nuclear weapons. Can you liberals not admit this was an evil man who murdered thousands of his own, and was in cahoots with terrorists? Do you think he wasn't assisting them to try to destroy us, especially after "we" kicked his tail in the "mother of all wars?"

>Bottom line is the war was justified by the intel at the time (even flip-flop agreed, before he disagreed). The truth is democrats are still incensed about the way the last election panned out. Guess what, get ready to be upset again, Bush will be relected. I had a vision from on high!<vbg>

>>Will you believe there are WMDs in Iraq if none are found 1 year from now? How about 3? Is there any limit? Just curious. Most of the government reps have switched to promoting the idea of "programs for" or "intent to acquire" and have stopped talking about actual WMDs.

>>>Hello back at you, didn't you read the post I made earlier? The latest study confirms there were and are wmds in Iraq. It also says they only physically checked a fraction of the known sites. Any thinking person would have to know that Sadam is a mad man, who has used wmds on his own people, and that he was circumventing the system with the oil for food program. His ultimate goal was to reacquire more WMDs.
