Having had so much great help with my query on 18th birthdays and ages, I have another little request that has caused some head scratching...

My client has suggested they would like an inactivity timeout in their shiny new application. I actually think it will be a pain in the rear for the users, but anyway.

Basically if there are no keypresses or mouse movements in a given period, say 10 minutes, then they want a graceful exit of the app.

I can foresee all sorts of issues, like if the user has gone for lunch in the middle of a form filling process, that will have to be abandoned; or the timer is ignored). Being just on a menu shouldn't be too bad but I'm not sure where to start. I did think of adding an a timer to _screen, but then resetting if a key was fired would be a problem perhaps?

TIA,
Simon
