Hi tracy,

Very shortsighted. We in holland we pay a lot, a lot more taxes. But in general we don't care that much about taxes. Any way you put it, the government will get its money.

Last week I was in the US and what I saw was poverty all over the place compared to european standards. People unemployed or pensions are barely able to live from it. It really stiked me that this whole thing about taxes is not understood by joe average. When taxes go up it does neccesary mean this is a bad thing for Joe average. The people who are really benefitting are those with a lot of money.

You should look outside of the (america) box how things could be done differently. So you could ensure your future and that of your children. A president promissing lower taxes is only aiming on votes from people who really don't understand what it means and what its effects are. See your health care system which sucks big time, and is currently unaffordable for lots of people. Putting up taxes and changing the health care system could improve this situation. (Hint. Your health care system is too money driven).

In short. Lowering the taxes will benefit the rich. It will put poor people in an even worse situation.

Walter (who is happy to pay taxes at a much higher rate than those americans, knowing that the government will be there when you need them),
