The key here is: "Make sure that Allow check box is checked for your appropriate user."

We should only have to allow access to one user that covers ASP.NET regardless of who is accessing the web app via the intranet. We can fix the problem easily by granting Excel access to "Everyone" but that makes us nervous. We would like to know which specific user needs the access permissions without having to go through a trial and error process.
