If you're not looking for a programmatic way (with regard to Dave and Brett), instead of hacking FRX this could be a quick solution :
-Replace your report form ... (rem it) with "modify report cRepName"
-When designer pops up, right click to preview
-It would -generally- would show you where error is occuring.
