Has anyone else noticed a problem where if you have an alternate data source for a bizobj, and you specify no buffering, that optimistic row buffering gets set anyway?

I've got a view that I want to use for a grid source, and I've got a field defined in the view (it doesn't exist in the underlying table) that I want to use for a checkmark field in the grid. In order to get the updates to reflect when I access the view, I want no buffering, and that's how I've got it marked in the bizobj on the form. When I run the form, and check the buffering at a point where I want to see what has been checked in the grid, the buffering has been set to optimistic row, resulting in nothing showing up as checked when I run a select on the view.

Off to find out why the buffering isn't being set as I ask.
