Hi Derek,

As many have urged, please spend the time to research many frameworks. FoxPro Advisor reviewed a bunch of frameworks over a period of months. If you subscribe to access online I think those articles will be invaluable. I have personally worked with VFE and MereMortals. Both are good and well worth the money. At first I was opposed to purchasing something I could build myself but then reality set in and I noticed that I could build several apps by the time it took me to develop a half decent framework. I like VFE conceptually but also like the "FoxPro" feel of MereMortals.

Which ever you choose the price should not play a big factor, spend the money. Make a loan if you have to, the framework will help you pay it off quicker (hehehe). Look at functionality, feel and make sure the framework is geared towards the type of applications you generally develop. You will find that you will develop applications much quicker with any of the commercial frameworks.

Aloha,

James
