>>My suggestion was to alternate the font color between forums. For instance if I have messages in the upper frame for VFP, CHATTER, .NET and MS OFFICE then using blue fonts for the VFP and .NET forum messages and possibly dark green (or black or ...) for the CHATTER and MS OFFICE would help to highlight that there has been a change of forums.

But, as soon as a message is clicked on, as usual, the color of the hyperlink will become as visited. So, as default, it will be red. So, you then have some content in blue, green and red. This is really confusing. Are you really sure this is an option you would like to have?

Well it doesn't sound so bad to me. Is there some way it could be tried on a trial basis to see what people think?
Alternately, a no auto-expand by forum would do the trick for me.

cheers
